Osimitinib is suitable for the disease progression during or after treatment with epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI), and the presence of locally advanced or metastatic non-positive EGFR T790M mutations is confirmed by testing. Treatment of adult patients with small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).

Osimertinib mainly targets the EGFR+T790M mutation and is suitable for "patients with locally advanced or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer who have previously received EGFR TKI treatment failure and have produced a drug-resistant mutation T790M". It is also suitable for patients with unclear T790M status. Patients with brain transfer and meningeal transfer of non-small cell lung cancer.

Things to pay attention to when taking osimertinib

  1. It is best to confirm the mutation status of T790M, or the mutation status of EGFR before taking osimertinib. Avoid wasting the precious time of patients.
  2. If there are serious side effects and you need to take prescription drugs or over-the-counter drugs, you need to tell the attending physician. If you cannot tolerate the side effects of osimertinib, you can reduce the dose of osimertinib with the doctor’s consent, usually down to 40mg Once a day.
  3. Patients who are allergic to the active ingredients and excipients of osimertinib should stop using osimertinib.
  4. Ochinib should not be taken with St. John's wort.
  5. Avoid pregnancy during the period of taking osimertinib and within one month after stopping the medication, and also prohibit taking osimertinib for breastfeeding women.

Osimitinib's adverse reactions and solutions
The common side effects of osimertinib are cough, dry skin, itching, oral ulcers, anemia, thrombocytopenia, low white blood cells, paronychia, diarrhea, nausea and vomiting.

  1. Cough: dextromethorphan guaifenesin syrup, pentoverine citrate tablets.
  2. Dry skin: Choose skin care lotions that do not contain fragrance additives.
  3. Itching: cetirizine hydrochloride tablets, compound diphenhydramine, triprolidine tablets, etc.
  4. Oral ulcer: compound chlorhexidine gargle, VC+VB2, oral ulcer powder, Kangfuxin liquid, etc.
  5. Anemia: You can take ferrous sulfate sustained-release tablets, wolfberry ginseng date egg soup, five red soup, peanut codonopsis soup.
  6. ​​Thrombocytopenia: EPO infusion, white injection, eating black fungus peanut soup, peanut yam porridge, etc.
  7. Low white blood cell: take raw white needles, drink Shengbai soup, wolfberry round meat black chicken soup, five red soup, peanut and astragalus trotters soup, etc.
  8. Paronychia: Piyanping, Baiduobang, Cefradine Capsules, Pikangwang, etc.
  9. Diarrhea: If diarrhea occurs 1-2 times, the patient does not need special treatment. If it occurs more than 3 times, the patient can take antidiarrheal drugs before meals or go to the hospital for symptomatic treatment.
  10. Nausea and vomiting: symptoms such as nausea and vomiting appear. The patient’s daily diet is mainly light and easy to digest food, small meals, avoid spicy and cold foods, and eat less sweets and greasy foods.
