- It is used to treat against alcoholism to reduce the risk of relapse, as supportive treatment in abstinence and to reduce the craving for alcohol

Talk to your doctor before you take this medicine, if you:
- Are allergic to Naltrexone or any of the other ingredients of this medicine
- Are opioid-addicted (without successful withdrawal)
- Have experience acute symptoms of opioid withdrawal
- Have severe liver problems or acute hepatitis or kidney problems
Pregnancy & Breast Feeding
- If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine
Children & Adolescents
- NALTIMA 50MG should not be used in children and adolescents
Driving & Using Machines
- Do not use any tools or machinery since NALTIMA 50MG may impair your mental and physical abilities
Interactions
Tell your doctor if you are taking,
- Opioid containing medicines
- Medicine used to treat cough, common cold, diarrhoea or pain
How to Use
- Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you
- Take this medicine by mouth
- Swallow the tablet with some liquid before food on an empty stomach, without chewing
- The usual recommended dose is 50 mg one tablet every day
If you take more NALTIMA 50MG
- If you take more NALTIMA 50MG contact your doctor or go to the nearest hospital immediately
- Symptoms of over dosage are severe or fatal consequences (respiratory depression)
If you forget to take NALTIMA 50MG
- If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember, unless it is time for your next dose
- Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose
If you stop taking NALTIMA 50MG
- Do not stop taking NALTIMA 50MG without talking to your doctor
Side Effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them
Serious
- Anxiety, sleeplessness, headache
- Restlessness, nervousness
- Abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, decreased appetite
- Joint and muscle pain, feebleness
- Heart palpitations, increased heart rate, libido disorders, thirst, dizziness, increased tear secretion, pain in the chest, diarrhoea, constipation
- Rash, delayed ejaculation, erectile dysfunction, increased energy, irritability, increased sweating, affective disorder
Common
- Oral herpes, athlete’s foot, disease of the lymph nodes
- Hallucination, confusion, despondency, depression, paranoia, disorientation, nightmares, agitation, abnormal dreams, shaking
- Drowsiness, vision disorders, irritation and swelling of the eye, photophobia, eye pain or tiredness, color asthenopia, blood pressure changes, hot flushes
- Nasal congestion, nasal discomfort, rhinorrhoea, sneezing, disorders of the mouth and throat, increased sputum, sinus disorders, disorders of the voice, coughing
- Breathlessness, yawning, flatulence, hemorrhoids, ulcers, mouth dryness
- Hepatic disorders, increased bilirubin levels, hepatitis
- Seborrhea, acne, hair loss, itching
- Groin pain, abnormally frequent urination, painful urination
- Tinnitus, vertigo, ear pain, ear discomfort
- Increased appetite, weight loss, weight gain, fever, pain, sensation of cold in arms and legs
Uncommon
- Decreased number of blood platelets
- Suicidal ideation, attempted suicide
Rare
- Breakdown of skeletal muscle tissue
