What is it prescribed for?

  • Myelodysplastic syndrome
    This medicine is used for the treatment of myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS), a group of conditions where the bone marrow is not able to produce healthy blood cells. It is used in case of previously treated and newly diagnosed MDS, secondary MDS of various subtypes, as well as MDS of unknown origin.
  • Acute Myeloid Leukemia
    This medicine is also used for the treatment of adult patients (age >= 65) with acute myeloid leukemia (AML). It may be used in case of a previously treated or a newly diagnosed AML. It is generally used in patients who are not candidates for standard induction chemotherapy.

Pregnancy & Breast Feeding

  • Deczuba 50mg Injection is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Please consult your doctor.
  • Deczuba 50mg Injection is unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Data suggests that the drug may cause toxicity to the baby.
